Festival Up & Down arrives in 2023 to its seventh edition with a very special agenda, in which jazz takes a prominent role, a musical genre that UNESCO considers as “engine for peace, dialogue and mutual understanding”. But the show is also a festival of ‘World Music’ genre that will also be present in this edition of the event.

On April 30, and from May 17 to 21, 2023 at the Castle of San Felipe in Puerto de la Cruz, Up&Down once again develops a diverse program, committed to diversity, equality, freedom, tolerance, creativity, sustainability and dialogue. This special edition will start on 30 April, a date that was marked by UNESCO in 2011 as International Jazz Day. To commemorate this anniversary, Up&Down programs a tribute concert to Bill Evans, with a tribute created by the Canarian musician José Alberto Medina.
